Solusi driver printer Canon i255, dan IP 1880 on Ubuntu

Secara native driver printer seperti Canon i255, dan Canon IP 1880 tidak tersedia di Linux, untuk mengatasi hal ini ada satu cara yaitu dengan menggunakan driver Turbo Print. Namun sayangnya driver ini berbayar, versi demonya akan menambahkan watermark DEMO pada hasil print outputnya. Penulis memberikan key secara cuma-cuma buat temen-temen yang merasa kesulitan untuk mencari driver printer di Linux. Langkah instalasinya :

  1. Download paket turbo print versi debian di sini dan turbo print key download di sini;
  2. Double klik paket turboprint_1.96-4_i386.deb untuk melakukan instalasi;

    3. klik

  3. Pada menu dialog instalasi klik tombol Install package;

  4. Setelah selesai instalasi jalankan shortcut Turbo Print Setup di Desktop;

    5. klik2

  5. Pada dialog welcome message klik tombol OK saja;

  6. Selanjutnya pada dialog registration, install tpkey dengan meng-klik tombol Install keyfile.. lokasikan file tpkey yang sudah didownload tadi, kemudian klik OK;

  7. Setelah ter-register klik tombol OK;

  8. Langkah selanjutnya add driver printer sesuaikan dengan merk dan tipe printer.

    pada waktu penginstallan paket turbo print muncul pesan seperti ini : “Kesalahan: Ketergantungan tidak terpenuhi: libglib1.2|libglib1.2ldbl”
    apa yang harus dlakukan ?

    itu berarti librarynya tidak terinstall dengan baik.. jangan lupa untuk terkoneksi ke internet untuk install paket librarynya.
